Annabelle Bertha Sturdevant, 90, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Satanta Long Term Care Unit, Satanta, KS.
Annabelle was born to Oscar Oliver and Anna Hermina (Fahrenholtz) Myers on May 20, 1928 in Kalvesta, KS.
She and Charles Michael Killfoil were married June 8, 1947. To this union were two children; Eda and Evelyn. He preceded in her in death on March 30, 1989.
Annabelle married Lewellyn Charles Sturdevant on July 4, 1992 in Garden City, KS. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2008.
She was very proud of Annabelle’s Day Care Center and operated it for over 35 years in Garden City, KS.
She loved to embroidery, can fruits, grow roses, and work in her yard. She hardly ever missed Sunday School and Church. She had a very strong faith and was a member of the Garden City Church of the Nazarene since 1947.
Her survivors include two daughters, Eda Ewing and husband Rod, Satanta, KS., Dr. Evelyn Brooks and husband Dr. Steve, St. Joe, MO.; step-son, Tim Sturdevant and wife Cheryl, Garden City, KS.; two step-daughters, Jean Morris and husband Virgil, Johnson, KS., Linda Downing and husband Randy, Shawnee, KS; 5 grandchildren, Matthew Corrigan & wife Chetna, Joshua Corrigan & Amanda, Sarah Flores & husband William, Cory Brooks & wife Taylor, Casey & wife Chelsey Brooks, 8 great-grandchildren, 16 step-grandchildren, 27 step great- grandchildren, 22 step great-great grandchildren and many friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles and Lewellyn; 7 brothers and wives, Samuel and Sarah Myers, Theodore and Geraldine Myers, Wallace and Marie Myers, LeRoy Myers and wives Mable and Anna Mae, Floyd and Marge Myers, Arthur and Joan Myers, Kenneth and Beulah Myers; step-daughter, Marcia Mills; step-granddaughter, Donna Othout; step great-grandson, Jerry W. Mills Jr..
A memorial has been established for Satanta Food Pantry, Church of the Nazarene, Garden City, KS, or First Baptist Church, Satanta, KS. Memorials may be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 747, Satanta, KS 67870.
Funeral service will be Friday, April 12, 2019 at 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church, Satanta, KS with Pastor Rod Klingsick presiding. There will be a graveside service at 2 PM at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City, KS.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 10 AM to 8 PM and Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 10 AM to 8 PM at Robson Funeral Home, Satanta, KS.
