Arthur Mills

February 1, 1952 — February 17, 2024

Tulsa, OK

Arthur Edward Mills, son of Ivan Leroy Mills and Audrey Josephine Nordyke Mills was born on February 1, 1952 in Hugoton, Kansas and went to meet his Lord and Savior on February 17, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with his wife by his side. He was 72 years young.

He was the fifth of seven children and grew up in Hugoton and attending Hugoton schools. He enjoyed hunting and playing softball and traveling and camping with his children. He found that he liked being an auto parts clerk, and spent the rest of his career in that field and retired early from Tulsa Auto Spring due to illness.

On July 29th, 2005, Art and Patricia Mills were united in marriage in Clayton, New Mexico and made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Art loved traveling more than anything else and they covered much of the scenic roads and sites in Oklahoma and Colorado areas including trips to Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore while he could still travel. Of the places he went other than the Colorado Mountains, his favorite place to go, was to see the Buffalo in Tall Grass Prairie. The two last things he had wanted to do was to see his sons and see the Buffalo, but after seeing his sons and meeting his youngest great grandchild he was happy. Art was a member of Christ Church.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Mills of their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma; sons, Steven Mills and Mark Mills of Duncan, Oklahoma; daughter, April Ransom of Chicago, Illinois; brothers, George Mills and wife, Judi of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Marty Mills and wife, Vickie of Wagoner, Oklahoma; sisters, Betty Clark of Hugoton, Kansas and Nancy Wriston of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren;  and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Audrey Mills; sisters, Judith Kay Mantzke and Paula Marlene Campbell; and son, Jason Mills.

Honorary Pallbearers are Claude Cerecero, Koy Watkins, Jim Cerecero, Kelly Campbell, Terry Failes, and Josh Failes.
