Brent Alan McDonald

Brent Alan McDonald, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas. Born on July 18, 1963, in Hugoton, Kansas, Brent was the son of James Roildon and Joyce Allene (Drew) McDonald.

Throughout his life, Brent was known for his warm and outgoing nature, forming countless friendships across Stevens and Morton Counties. He was a devoted farmer and cattle rancher who took great pride in caring for his dogs, especially those he rescued and made part of his family. Brent also enjoyed cooking, fishing, hunting, and golfing. He valued his close relationships with his sisters and was always a cherished presence among his many nieces and nephews.

Brent is survived by his father, Roildon McDonald; three sisters, Terri Rankin (husband Randy), Jody Popplewell (husband Ed), and Miki Stearns (husband Chris); nieces and nephews Cayla, Shandon, Rutherford, Rance, Drew, Gretchen, Ashlyn, and Whitney; great-niece and nephew Luci and Cameron; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce; brother, Brad Eugene McDonald; maternal grandparents, George and Gladys Drew; and paternal grandparents, Vol McDonald and Naomi Mitchell.

In honor of Brent’s memory, a memorial has been established for Pheasant Heaven Charities. Contributions can be mailed to Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 606, Elkhart, Kansas 67950.

A book signing will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Robson Funeral Home, located at 120 Grant Street, Elkhart, Kansas. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Richfield Cemetery in Richfield, Kansas.
