Delbert Becker, age 83, died Monday, September 1, 2025, at Common Spirit Health Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. He spent his final weeks surrounded by family and friends. He was born on November 13, 1941, in Heil, North Dakota, the son of Earl and Pauline Becker.
Delbert married Elizabeth (Betty) Joann Heth in Mott, North Dakota, on May 27, 1963. Together, they raised four children. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, watching sports, and most of all spending time with his family.
Delbert and Betty moved to Garden City in 1969 from Bismarck, North Dakota. He was an entrepreneur, owning three businesses: Delbert Becker Trucking, Becker Enterprises, and Becker's Kawasaki, retiring in 2004. He was a man of God who loved his family deeply.
Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Pauline; brothers, Bobby Dean, Albert, and Marvin Becker; and one sister, Eldene Ann Allison.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Betty Becker; his four children, Corey and wife Dani Becker of Garden City, Kansas, Laura McKie of Salina, Kansas, Kelly and wife Michelle Becker of Garden City, Kansas, and Kristal and husband Nick Helton of Cimarron, Kansas; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; brothers, Melvin, Larry, Ervin, and John; his sisters, Evelyn, Darlene, and Rosemary; sister-in-law, Darlene Becker; his lifelong friend, Ervin Bachmann; and several other relatives and friends.
Memorial has been established for Emmaus House, Garden City, in care of Robson Funeral Home, 620 N. Main St., Garden City, Kansas 67846.
Book signing will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 12 P.M. to 5 P.M., at Robson Funeral Home, Garden City, Kansas.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 1 P.M. at Robson Funeral Home, 620 North Main Street, Garden City, Kansas 67846.
Burial will follow at Deerfield Cemetery.
