In loving memory of Earl Richard Omo, a devoted husband and father, who touched the lives of many with his hard work and love for his family. Earl was born on July 29, 1931, in Pratt County, Kansas, and peacefully passed away in Hugoton, Kansas on Friday, February 16, 2024.

Earl Omo and Bernice (Slater) were married on November 25, 1951, in Coats, Kansas. To this union three children were born. 

Earl's journey in life was marked by dedication and service. He bravely served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army before embarking on a remarkable career at Halliburton as a plant operator for well over 40 years. His commitment to duty and excellence was evident in all aspects of his life.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Earl found joy in simple pleasures. He graduated from Coats High School in Coats, Kansas, laying the foundation for a life filled with accomplishments and cherished memories. Earl was also the kind of man who could fix anything that needed it and never had a dirty car. 

A man of strong character and unwavering devotion to his loved ones, Earl will be remembered as a loving husband to Bernice (Slater) Omo. He leaves behind a legacy of love and family values through his children: Linda Parton of Mangum, OK; Marsha (Mike) Whetham of Winner, SD; Kenny (Sue) Omo of Hugoton, KS; grandchildren, Jason Parton, Gary Parton, Melissa Lowry, Jake Lowry, Katie (Heber) Jimenez, Kevin (Hannah) Omo; step-grandchildren, Ryan Whetham, Renee (Whetham) Burnham; great-grandchildren, Lexi Parton, Aspen Parton, Gunner Parton; step great-grandchildren, Paityn Burnham, Parker Burnham, and Olive Whetham. In addition to his immediate family, Earl is survived by his sisters Phyllis Biddinger of Texas, Elsie Waggoner of Wisconsin, Karen Burns of Texas.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, Jim Parton.

Earl's warm personality and genuine care for others earned him respect and admiration from all who knew him. His dedication to family and unwavering work ethic served as an inspiration to many.

Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Robson Funeral Home in Hugoton, Kansas. 

The funeral service will be held at Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton, Kansas on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM. The burial will follow at Hugoton Cemetery in Hugoton, Kansas. 

In honoring the memory of Earl Richard Omo, let us cherish the moments shared with him and carry forward the values he stood for - love for family above all else and dedication to one's responsibilities. May he rest in eternal peace knowing he was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all whose lives he touched.
