Elvie Alan Phillips best known as “Buck” passed away from this life on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in Grand Lake Villa, Grove, OK.
Buck was the son of James and Ramona (Edison) Phillips, he was born September 27, 1950, Tulsa, OK.
He married Tana Jean Roberts on September 27, 1969 in Scott City, KS. Elvie and Tana had four children, Travis, James, Kent, and Shawna. Tana preceded him in death March 9, 2017.
He work for Isaac Truck Line for 15 plus years and went on to work for Appel Truck Line for 8 plus years and later started his own trucking company B&T Trucking as a Bull Hauler and later worked for Le Master Truck Line and he worked for KTM Enterprises.
He enjoyed and loved his family; when he was home he loved to spend time with his family. He was a truly a family man. He and Tana were foster parents for a lot children. They loved those children like their own.
Survivors include three sons, Travis Phillips, Servery, KS., James Phillips, Ensign, KS., Kent Mayfield, Redwood, CA.; one daughter, Shawna Phillips, Minneola, KS.; two brothers, Jay Dougherty, Tulsa, OK., James Phillips, Cushing, OK.; three sisters, Nancy Bence, Oklahoma, Sherry Denner, Spavinaw, OK., Sue Clark, Servery, KS.; six grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Buck was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Tana; brother, Terry Dougherty, and Eddie Bell.

Visitation has been set for Friday, December 28, 2018 12 PM to 8 PM at Robson Funeral Home, Satanta. The address is 217 Sequoyah, Satanta, KS 67870.
Funeral service will be Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:30 AM, First Baptist Church, Cimarron, KS with Pastor Richard Deimund presiding. Graveside service will be at Scott City Cemetery, Scott City, KS at 2 PM on Saturday.
Robson Funeral Home, Satanta is in charge of arrangements.
