Obituary for Ethyle Faye Reese (Reynolds)

Ethyle Faye Reynolds Reese passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017, at the Catholic Care Center in Wichita, KS.
Ethyle was born in Hugoton, KS, to Levi and Mary Etta Reynolds on May 1, 1924. After graduating from Hugoton High School, Ethyle worked for Boeing Corporation during World War II. After moving back to Hugoton, she met and married Gale Reese. They were married nearly 65 years and raised three children, Pat, Tyna, and Kathy. Ethyle worked for many years at the Citizens State Bank in Hugoton.
She was very active in her church, her children’s activities, and community organizations, such as the Stitch and Chatter. Later in life, Ethyle enjoyed taking walks with her twin sister, Edythe. When her grandchildren were born, she especially liked shopping for them for the holidays. Gale and Ethyle opened their Hugoton and Colorado homes for family and friends to visit.
She was preceded by her husband, Gale Reese, her parents Levi and Mary Etta Reynolds, brothers Ben Reynolds, Glen Reynolds, Harry Reynolds, Art Reynolds, Floyd Reynolds, Donald Reynolds, and Marion (Babe) Reynolds.
Ethyle leaves wonderful memories to her children, Pat Reese and wife Judy of Gridley, Tyna Dorsey and husband Eric of Liberal, and Kathy Reese of Wichita; grandchildren Jamie Reese, Courtney Reese, Mark Reese, Erica Mears and husband David, Shane Dorsey, and Chereese Bowman; great grand children Oliver and Houston Mears; sisters Edythe Stuart, Viola Quattlebaum, and Zola Lynch; many nieces and nephews, and friends.
Services will be held Thursday, June 22, 2017, at 10:00 am at the Hugoton United Methodist Church. Visitation will be available on Wednesday, June 21, 2017,10 am to 8 pm at Paul’s-Robson Funeral Home. The family will be there at 7:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hugoton United Methodist Church and Stevens County Senior Center in care of Paul’s-Robson Funeral Home, PO Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
