Evelyn Marie Bansemer, 85, Hugoton, Kansas, died on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home.
The daughter of William Earl & Nora Evelyn (McAdoo) Massey, she was born August 31, 1929, in St. Louis, Missouri.
She married Victor Bansemer on December 15, 1950, at Hugoton, KS. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2007.
She graduated from Hugoton High School in class of 1947.
She graduated from Halstead Nursing School in 1950.
After “Retirement” She and Victor owned and operated the Daylight Donut Shop & Family Restaurant of Hugoton for many years while enjoying visiting with everyone.
A member of the First Christian Church. She was also member of the ladies organization, Bas Bleu.
Survivors includes, a son, Theodore Bansemer & wife Nancy, Hugoton, KS; a daughter, Kathleen Prather & husband William, Gove, KS; a brother, George Massey & wife Christin, Valley Center, KS; 2 daughter in laws, Cindy Bansemer and Tracy Bansemer; 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Victor L. Bansemer JR on March 31, 2011.
Memorials have been established for Evelyn Marie Bansemer Nursing Scholarship. Memorials may be mailed to Paul’s Funeral Home PO Box-236 Hugoton, KS 67951.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Christian Church, Hugoton, Kansas with Pastor Heath Kelley presiding and burial in the Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton, Kansas.
Paul’s Funeral Home, Hugoton is in charge of arrangements.
