Helen Farrar, 91, of Hugoton, KS passed on Friday, August 17, 2018 at St. Katharine Drexel Retirement Center, El Reno, OK.

She was the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Volk) Martin. She was born on June 6, 1927 in St. Paul, Minnesota.

She and Walter L. Farrar were married on September 19, 1948 in Redondo Beach, CA. He preceded her in death April 20, 1995.

She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Hugoton, KS. She was very active in her church and loved her church family.

She enjoyed and loved her family. She was an avid pro-life supporter providing crocheted and knitted items to Birthline.

She enjoyed dancing, crocheting, knitting and listing to music.

Survivors include a son, Richard Farrar and wife Jan, Liberal, KS.; two daughters, Jacqueline McBride, Sublette, KS., Kathleen Stelzer and husband Gary, Oklahoma City, OK.; a brother, Bob Martin, Siren Wisconsin; a sister, Rosie Collier, Murrieta, CA.; eight grandchildren, Dr. Ryan Farrar & wife Norma, Fr. Brandon Farrar, Nicole Peterson & husband Scott, Kelli Goree, Meghan Urwin, Casey Stelzer & wife Miranda, Jamie Swartwood & husband Brady, Lindsey Short & husband Bryson, fourteen great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son in law, Vernon McBride, great grandson, Daniel Siebert, four sisters, Kay, Mary, Cecile and Ruth; four brothers, Joe, Peter, Frank, Henry.

Memorials have been established for Birthline, Liberal, KS. Memorials may be mailed to Paul’s-Robson Funeral Home- PO Box 236-Hugoton, KS 67951.

Rosary service will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 6 PM at St. Helen Catholic Church, Hugoton, KS.

Mass Service will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Helen Catholic Church, Hugoton, KS.

Viewing will be Tuesday 10 am to 3 pm at Paul’s-Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton.
