Jackelyne Marie Strout, 67 of Holcomb, KS passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at her home. Jacke was born May 30, 1957 to the late Charles and Marie Harris in Norwich, England. Her father’s Air Force career and later in life, her husbands Army career took her on adventures all around the world. When she wasn’t filling her role as an Army wife, Jacke enjoyed crocheting, sewing. Jacke was known for her enchiladas and filling the kitchen with the smell of her famous cinnamon rolls. Jacke always looked forward to Christmas and decorating the whole house and multiple Christmas trees. A true child at heart, at family gatherings, Jacke could be found on the floor wrestling and playing with her grand nieces and nephews. Jacke is survived by her daughter Christine Strout; son, Joseph Sean Wedel and wife Monet; brothers, Anthoney Lee Harris and wife Lisa; Michael Wayne Harris; sisters, Michelle and Jeanine. Jacke is preceded in death by her sons, Jeremy Wedel; Christopher Wedel and and infant son, Mark Wedel. The family has chosen cremation, 


A celebration of Jacke’s life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall, 306 N. 7th Street, Garden City, KS 67846.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in memory of Jacke be made to the family and left at Robson Funeral Home, 620 Main Street, Garden City, KS 67846.
