Jacob Groening Peters, 71, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Kansas Medical Center in Wichita, KS.
He was the son of Jacob and Helen (Groening) Peters; he was born on May 25, 1946 in Chihuahua, Mexico.
He and Mary L. Loewen were married on July 9, 1967 in Mexico.
He worked for Sunbelt Feeders as night watchman 30 years.
He loved his family and enjoyed being with them. He loved to tell stories from about his life. He could talk with anyone for hours.
Survivors include, wife, Mary Peters of the home, three sons, Jake Peters & wife Wendy, Topeka, KS., John Peters & wife Niki, Edmond, OK., Abe Peters, Hiawatha, KS.; two daughters, Tina Anderson & husband Vernon, Hugoton, KS., Martha Anderson & husband Matthew, Shawnee, KS.; three brothers, Abe Peters, Paraguay, South America, John Peters, Henry Peters, both of Canada; a sister, Helen Martin, Mexico; five grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11 AM at Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton, KS with Pastor Pam Peachey.
Friends may call Friday 2 PM to 8 PM at the funeral home.
