John Dwayne, 67, born on January 15, 1958, in Twin Falls, Idaho, departed this life on October 27, 2025, in Hugoton, Kansas. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose warm heart and spirited personality will be deeply missed.
John and Lora Lee (Hawkins) were married on July 7, 2007, in Hough, Oklahoma.
John dedicated his career to being a truck driver and owner-operator. Beyond his professional life, John brought cheer and joy to those around him, especially during family vacations, where he made every trip memorable for his cherished wife and daughters. His friendly demeanor meant that John never knew a stranger; he was known for his gift for gab and a natural talent for connecting with others.
John's interests were diverse, including fishing, hunting, swimming, horseback riding, racing RC cars, and playing video games. He had a special love for motorcycles, often taking his wife, Lora, on rides with friends. John also found joy in caring for stray cats, showcasing his compassionate and nurturing spirit.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lora Farmer, of Hugoton, Kansas; his daughters, Jennipher Durden of San Antonio, Texas, Melanie Tucker and husband Mike (Texas), Airon Renea Farmer of Ulysses, Kansas, and Temprynce Cheri Ann Farmer of Hugoton, Kansas. He cherished his role as a father and grandfather to his grandchildren, Dannica, Bradley, Kytaira, and Presley. He leaves behind his father, Donald Farmer; two brothers, Glen Farmer of Florida and Andy Farmer of Hugoton, Kansas, and Linda Williams, Parsons, Kansas.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia N. (Colgin) Hinklin; his son, Lucas Farmer; and his sister, Laura Kessler.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Robson Funeral Home in Hugoton, Kansas.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Trinity Baptist Church in Hugoton, followed by burial at Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton.
John Dewayne Farmer will be remembered as a true friend, a dedicated family man, and a man who brought happiness and kindness into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
