Jorge Luis Fabela, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, peacefully passed away at home in Hugoton, Kansas on Thursday, October 30th, 2025, at the age of 66.
Jorge was born on October 9, 1959, in Juan Aldama, Zacatecas, Mexico, to Leodegario and Irene Fabela. Jorge's journey through life was marked by hard work, dedication to family, and a deep love for his hobbies.
Jorge moved to Clayton, New Mexico, where he met the love of his life, Patricia Maestas Fabela. The couple later settled in Hugoton, Kansas, where Jorge worked in the oil field, dedicating twenty-five years of his life to his work.
Jorge was a member of Monte Santo Church. He loved the Lord and was very passionate about his ministry.
Beyond his professional life, Jorge’s true passion was his family. He adored spending time with his wife, Patricia, and their children. Jorge's home was filled with laughter and love, and he cherished every moment spent with his extended family.
In addition to his family devotion, Jorge enjoyed gardening and had a particular fondness for watching sports, especially his favorite baseball team, the Los Angeles Dodgers. He found joy and peace in nurturing his plants and cheering for his team.
Jorge is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Fabela; his children, RoseMarie Cabezas and husband Arturo, Sammy Fabela, and Jose Fabela—all of Hugoton, Kansas. His pride and joy were his grandchildren: Kimberly Lofing, Isai Cabezas, Abdiel Cabezas, Melissa Mills, Samuel Fabela, Jacob Fabela, Alizeyah Fabela, Aaron Febela, Faith Fabela, and Aziel Fabela, as well as his six great-grandchildren; brothers, Francisco Fabela and wife Mayra of San Antonio, Texas, Rigoberto Fabela and wife Liliana, of Juan Aldama, Mexico, Alejandro Fabela and wife Bertha of Houston, Texas and Jesus Fabela and wife Lisa of Hugoton, Kansas; his sisters, Alicia Fuentes and husband Adan of Juan Aldama, and Nelida Fuentes and husband Nemorio of Oakland, Oklahoma; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Bryan Cabezas, and his nephew, Anthony Maestas, who will forever hold a place in the hearts of those who loved them.
Visitation will be held at Robson Funeral Home in Hugoton, Kansas, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Funeral service will be held at Monte Santo Church on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 10:30 AM, following burial at Hugoton Cemetery, Hugoton.
Jorge Luis Fabela will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know and love him.
