Loy Davis, born on September 18, 1945, in Grainfield, Kansas, to Foy and Derylce (Hebrew) Davis, he left this world on Thursday, May 29, 2025, in Garden City, Kansas.
Loy had a profound appreciation for old country music, which resonated with the melodies of his heart. He was also an ardent lover of horses, finding joy and solace in their presence. These passions enriched his life and made him connect with those around him meaningfully.
He is survived by his two sons, Joel Davis of Garden City, Kansas, and Jamie Davis and wife Melinda of Scott City, Kansas. Loy cherished the time spent with his three grandsons, Joshua Davis of Pratt, Kansas, Brandon Davis of Lyons, Kansas, and Justin Davis of Scott City, Kansas. His legacy continues through his three great-grandchildren, Luther, Lillium, and Lexus, who brought unbounded joy to his life.
Loy is also survived by his twin brother, Coy Davis, and wife Jan of Holcomb, Kansas, and a sister, Denyce Grimsley of Virginia Beach, Virginia. These family members will carry forward the love and memories shared with Loy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Foy and Derylce, who guided his early years with love and companionship, his wife, Mary Ellen; and by his grandson Christian Davis, whose loss has left an unfilled void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Loy Davis lived a long life surrounded by family. He will be missed dearly by all who had the honor of knowing him.
