Mary Marie Metcalf, 88, died on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, KS.
She was the daughter of Herbert Washington & Clara Alberta (Graves) Dillard, she was born on April 22, 1928 at Chula, Missouri.

She and Elmer Clinton Metcalf were married on October 2, 1944 at Garden City, KS. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2004.
She worked as dietitian for Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital for 30 years. She retired in October 1995.
She loved her family and enjoyed being with them. She enjoyed gardening, cooking & traveling. She never complained and never gave up. She was determined to get up and go again.
Some people called her “ Miraculous Marie” but we realized that her strength was by the grace of God.
Survivors include three sons, Garry Ray Metcalf & wife Jan, Robert Wayne Metcalf, Herbert William Metcalf & wife Norma; a daughter, Diana Marie Talbert all of Ulysses; eight grandchildren, Kendall Keith Metcalf, Sophia Marie Metcalf, Everett Min Jae Metcalf, Miranda Marie Short, Rebecca Renee Jaquez, Troy Talbert, April LaDonya Loftis, Robin Michelle George, Ty Kelton Cates; thirteen great grandchildren, Tucker Michael Metcalf, Kuper Thomas Metcalf, Saven Amio Rosales, Khristian Tye Jaquez, Gabriella Renee Jaquez, John Marshall Pinkerton, Sean Michael Pinkerton, Skyler Vance Short, Taressa Lynn Ochoa, Brett Hunter George, Hayden Michael George, Montana MaKelton George, Damian Braden Cates, McKenzie Denae Cates, three great great grandchildren, Lyric Christopher Ochoa, Dekkar Teegan George, McCoy Ruger George and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, son, Clinton Eugene Metcalf, daughter in law, Patricia Ann Metcalf, grandson, Michael Todd Metcalf, brothers, Junior Dillard and Everett Dillard.
Memorials have been established for St. Jude’s Hospital. Memorial may be mailed to Paul’s-Robson Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St., Ulysses, KS 67880.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 2PM at First Baptist Church, Ulysses, KS and burial Ulysses, Cemetery with Pastor Jeremiah J. Mykytiuk presiding.
Friends may call Wednesday 10AM to 8PM and Thursday 10AM to 8PM at the funeral home.
