Matthew Nicholas Brown, 59, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at his home. 

He was the son of Reginald James and Rita Wilson (Woodward) Brown, born on March 12, 1964, in Tewkesbury Gloucestershire, England.

He was married to Georgina Claire Holley on May 6, 1995, in Roxton Bedfordshire, England.  To this union were two sons, William and Thomas.

Matthew graduated with a Bachelor of Animal Science from Bishops Burton-Beverley Yorkshire, England. 

Matthew and Georgina moved to the United States of America on February 1, 2001.

He worked for many years in the pork industry in various of places and then later moved their family near Rolla, Kansas area to work for Seaboard Foods. 

Matthew loved his family and friends. His hobbies were golfing, fishing, watching football, and playing cricket. 

Memorial have been established for Rolla Hope and make checks to Rolla Hope in care of the Robson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hugoton, Kansas, 67951.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 4:30 P.M. at Rolla Methodist Church, in Rolla.  Interment will be at St. Catherine’s Church’s Cemetery, Barmby Moor-York, England at a later date. 

 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 2 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Robson Funeral Home, Hugoton.

 

Robson Funeral Home of Hugoton is overseeing the arrangements.
