Miles Roberto Rodriguez, a joyful spirit who danced through life with laughter and love, left this world unexpectedly on May 16, 2025, in his beloved hometown of Garden City, Kansas. He was born on November 19, 2020, to Carlos Roberto Rodriguez-Hernandez and Mikayla Lynn Martinez in Garden City, Kansas. Miles was a cherished son, brother, grandson, and great-grandson, whose vibrant personality and playful nature endeared him to all who knew him.
At the tender age of four, Miles was already enjoying Pre-Kindergarten, where he made new friends and discovered the joys of learning. He had an infectious enthusiasm that brightened the lives of everyone around him. A fun-loving little boy, he found endless delight in playing with his siblings, creating memories woven from the gentle threads of childhood. Always full of energy, Miles loved watching his favorite shows—Toy Story, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Spiderman—often reenacting adventures that mirrored the vivid imagination that sparkled within him.
Miles is survived by his devoted mother, Mikayla Martinez, and his father, Carlos Rodriguez, who, along with his fiancée Michelle, offered unwavering love and comfort. He leaves behind three loving sisters, Amiyah, Aubriana, and Alai (LeyLey), who will carry the warmth of their shared laughter in their hearts. His family extends further with four step-siblings, Oliver, Aiden, Ethan, and Amri, who became a cherished part of his life. He was greeted with joy by his grandparents—Carlos Rodriguez, Marcella Hernandez, Steve Martinez, and Loretta Montez—who showered him with affection and guidance. Miles was also blessed to know his great-grandparents: Roberto Rodriguez, Maria Lourdes Bosquez, Hilda Torres, and Pete and Patricia Martinez. He held a special place in the heart of his great-great-grandma, Helen Vasquez; bonus grandmas, Connie Deleon and Loretta Montanez, whose love transcended generations, along with many other relatives who adored him deeply.
Though he was just beginning his life's adventure, the echo of Miles’ laughter and love will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were privileged to know him. He is preceded in death by great-grandparents Helen Sandoval, Louis Vasquez, Tomas Mota Gonzalez, and Maria De Jesus Apodaca Gonzalez, who welcomed him with open arms into the embrace of eternity.
