NANCY SUE (SLEMP) OLINGER

Nancy Sue Olinger, 80, died on Monday night, March 21, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on August 19, 1935 at Moscow, Kansas to Orval & Leola (Henderson) Slemp.
She is a life time resident of Stevens County, Kansas.
She & Donald L. Olinger were married on June 1, 1953, Liberal, Kansas and they were married for 62 years.
She was a member of the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Elkhart, Kansas.
She loved her family and making cookies for her grandchildren. She enjoyed writing poetry.
Survivors include, her husband Donald L. Olinger, Hugoton, KS, a son, Chad Olinger, Emporia, KS, a daughter, Dawnel Newton, Rolla, KS; a sister, Judy Cantrell, Moscow, KS; three grandchildren Shane Olinger & wife Cassi, Emporia, KS, Adam Newton & companion Jessi Peek, Hugoton, KS, Starbust Murphy & husband Mark, Wichita, KS, six great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jimmy Slemp and Jack Slemp, two sisters, Gwen Burgess and Marilyn Kapp.
A memorial has been established for St. Catherine’s Hospice. Memorials may be mailed to Paul’s -Robson funeral home PO Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
A Rosary service will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at 6PM at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, Hugoton, KS.
Mass service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 11AM at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, Hugoton, KS and burial will be at Moscow Cemetery with Father Francis Khio Nguyen presiding.

Friends may call Saturday 10AM to 8PM and Sunday 2PM to 4PM at the funeral home.
