Roberta Lewis passed away on January 31, 2026, in Liberal, Kansas, at the age of 92.
She was born on March 13, 1933, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, to Julius Abner and Velma Antnett (Gregg) Giles. She lived a life of love for her family and friends.
Roberta married Victor Murdock Lewis on August 31, 1948, in Garden City, Kansas. Roberta was a proud mother to her three sons, Victor ”Buck” Lewis, Jim Lewis, and Gary Lewis, and one daughter, Sandra Parks.
She served as a secretary at Riverbend Feeders in Hugoton for many years. In addition, she pursued her passion for antiques by owning a beloved antique store in Dodge City, Kansas, for a short time. Where she shared her keen eye for detail and flair for the unique with her patrons.
Roberta's interests extended beyond her career; she had a particular fondness for reading, jewelry, cooking, and collecting a variety of odds and ends. These hobbies not only enriched her life but also allowed her to connect with others who shared similar passions. Roberta enjoyed cooking for family get-togethers. We all enjoyed her Thanksgiving stuffing.
Roberta leaves behind a loving legacy, including her son, Gary, and wife Jan Rae of Melbourne, Florida, and a sister, Anita Brown of Sublette, Kansas, seven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Victor Lewis, her sons, Buck and Jim Lewis, her daughter Sandra Parks, and her brothers Aubra Giles, Orville “Bud” Giles, J.A. Giles Jr., and Clyde Giles, and her sisters Jettie Lea Giles, Margie Hagerman, and Mary Day; and two grandsons, Casey Bertram and Travis Bertram.
