Stella Ann (Martinez) Medina, a cherished soul from Hugoton, Kansas, peacefully took her place among the angels on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas. She was the daughter of Pedro and Rose Adeline (Gallegos) Martinez. She was born on August 22, 1958, in La Junta, Colorado.
She was the devoted wife of Ralph Medina, with whom she journeyed through life for an incredible 51 years, weaving a tapestry of love, faith, and family.
In Stella’s world, family was sacred, and her heart overflowed with joy whenever she spoke about her loved ones. Visitors who entered her home were often enveloped in warm conversations, and many left with an abundance of stories and delightful snapshots from her ever-growing collection—moments that sparkled and breathed life into her spirit.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her husband, Ralph, their children—Rafael Medina and Veronica Dodson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Rebekah Acuña, and Naomi Hernandez of Hugoton—and their spouses. Stella's joy multiplied through her 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, each holding a unique and everlasting connection to her vibrant heart.
Stella lived her faith with unwavering devotion, finding profound expression in her love for God through song. Her voice, a cherished melody, echoed throughout the Assembly of God Church in Hugoton, where she embraced her role as a faithful servant. Warmth, kindness, and a steadfast spirit defined her; those who knew her were touched by her indomitable faith and unyielding support.
Though her earthly presence will be deeply missed by all who loved her, Stella’s essence will continue to resonate through the countless lives she enriched.
