THURMAN E. HOLMES

Thurman E. Holmes, 82, died on Friday afternoon September 30, 2016 at Bob Wilson Memorial Grant County Hospital, Ulysses, KS.

He was the son of Wesley & Bulah (Ortez) Holmes, he was born on January 14, 1934, Dawson Springs, Kentucky.

He and Diane (Morlock-Hogie) Holmes were married on April 3, 1992 at Johnson, KS.

Survivors include wife, Diane Holmes, Ulysses, KS.; a son, Travis Holmes, Denver, CO.; step sons, Mike Clems, Denver, CO., Marlin Hogie & wife Billie, Ulysses, KS.; step daughters, Pam Clems, Denver, CO., Karla Shore & husband Steve, Johnson, KS., Krista Everett, Ulysses, KS., RaeLynn Birney & husband Buck, Wichita, KS., a sister, Audrey Dean Jones, Denver, CO., numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Howard and Kenny Holmes, step son, Douglas Hogie and step grandson, Karoton Waechter.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 2 PM at Ulysses Cemetery, Ulysses, KS.

Visitation will be on Monday 12PM to 8PM and Tuesday 9AM to 12PM at the funeral home.
