Timothy Wayne Pickett was born January 1st, 1946, in Garden City, KS, to Wayne and Marie Pickett. He passed away on August 22nd, 2025, in Garden City, KS, at home surrounded by family who loved him.

Tim served his country and learned how to be a diesel mechanic during his service, which he did for his career until he retired. He worked many years for Ball Trucking and then later for Eatherly Construction. He loved working on cars, talking about the old days, camping trips to Colorado, and spoiling his family.

Tim Pickett married his wife, Phyllis May 2nd, 1974. They stayed married until her passing in 2022. Together, they raised four children and had a grandson. There were many trips to Colorado every year, where wonderful memories were made.

Tim was a wonderful, caring man who would do anything for his family. He could fix any car or diesel engine. He will live forever in the hearts of his family.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Marie Pickett (Garden City, KS), his wife Phyllis Pickett, his son Chad Pickett (Garden City, KS), Sister Kathryn O'Donovan, Brothers Jim, Tony, Danny and Mike. He is survived by Daughter Lindsey Wilkerson and grandson Barrett Wilkerson (Garden City, KS), sisters Rosie Pickett and Rita Sullivan Pickett (Tyler, TX), Colleen Clearley (Abilene, KS), Carla Casey (Manhattan, KS) Peggy Pickett Starr (Depot Bay, OR), and Kelley Coonce (Prosper, TX) and one brother Rick (Tyler, TX), and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation was entrusted by Robson Funeral Home, Garden City.
