Treva Lee Hanks

Treva L. Hanks, 92, of Garden City, KS passed away Tuesday, December 6^th, 2022 at St. Catherine’s Hospital in Garden City.  Treva was born May 30, 1930 to the late Fama and James Redding in El Dorado, KS.  She graduated from Tribune High School in 1947.  Treva was united in marriage to Leonard H. Hanks on May 1, 1948 in Horace, Kansas.  In 1984, the family moved to Garden City, KS.  After raising her children, Litha, Fama and Steve; Treva went to work for Gibson’s before retiring in 1992.  She enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, cooking for her family, and was an avid Bingo player.  Treva was blessed with a green thumb and enjoyed working in her garden.  Treva is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Leonard Hanks.  Treva leaves behind her three children, Steve Hanks and wife Maritza; daughters, Litha Drake and Fama Keller; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.  The family has chosen cremation with a burial at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City, KS later this spring under the supervision of Robson Funeral Home – Garden City.  Please check our website for updated service information, www.robsonfuneralhome.com.
